summary

School events and activities organized according to the project of global education, reflecting the main point of the year 2006 in the period from November 2006 to March 2007, are in follow:

The meeting of the students of the sixth and seventh classes held by the Unicef volunteer during Ethics lessons took place in December. The theme of the meeting was the life of the fugitivies.

The aim of the presentations that pupils presented was to think of bigger justice in the world, equality and human rights. That is why two days before Christmas they gave presents to those who were really pleased with them. Our pupils had chance to persuade them- selves about the truth words of the manager from the model centre...for children from his disadvantageous surroundisngs, who said: "Joy grows up by giving away." Our students realized that i tis not the mater of course to have the complete family, standard living conditions or family at all. The pupils acquainted their schoolmates with computer presentation.

The main idea of gew is mainly the north- southern cooperation and solidarity. In january, we contacted a young couple working and helping in India. We started to communicate about the life conditions in this country as well as indian children. We decided to give a financial support to one child who really needs it. She is 8 years old girl Sonali. After her father's death her mother- widow is no table to look after her family. Every month we organize paper collecting and the financial means are sent to that family. During this financial support we will contact her older sister who speaks english perfectly and this we will watch the progress of the girl Sonali. Our financial support will be used for school fees, schol uniform and the food. The first contribution was sent in march and the financial support shoul continue till the ende of march.

The pupils of the 8. classes prepared presentations about life in India and about position of women and children. Both actions were presented at schol conference on 20th march 2007 under the title "Open your eyes" Towards the world's reality and make step to justice, equality and human rights for all. Chosen students of the second grade of our schol informed their schoolmates about the conference contents at Ethic lessons.

The course of the schol conference:
The students came up with their Works and presentations. Their contributions are displayed on web page GEW. They gave their ideas about the questions of a global education as well as their observations from the concrete activity on the project. The volunteer working in UNICEF took part in a schol meeting too. He presented the life conditions of children in the world. Finally the students presented the concrete conditions of an indian girl who we decided to support and this give her education.

During this period we organized the talking about the sense of global education with the students of the 9th classes. During Ethics and Art lessons, the students created compostitions and art Works that have been presented at the www.zsuzhorodska.sk/gew and exhibited at the classes and schol posters.

The pupils of the 5th grade have subscribed on the page zaoponov.sk at Ethics lessons. They had an opportunity to find out the unknown expressions for example - holocaust. These actions were provided, supported and publicized under school parliament, who recently wants to again the UNICEF certificate - "Friendly schol to children".
